Self Hypnosis and Relaxation

The pace of life for so many of us is such that ‘relaxation’ may not equate to much more than ‘taking a small break’ in the hectic round of activity, emails, social media, and physiologically, a deeper level of down-time and release of tension is rarely achieved. It is important to appreciate that making time to ‘unravel’ both physically and mentally can be key to health, creativity, and preventing the repercussions of chronic stress, which may result in a multitude of illnesses and even cancer. Good quality sleep has also been shown to be fundamentally important to long term well-being, and mental health. Sadly, all too many of us get caught in the ‘catch 22’ of ever increasingly pressured lives, which encroaches on opportunities to prioritise our health and well-being. It is only when our health collapses, that we are forced to get off the merry-go-round and take stock.

Mindfulness and meditation can be extremely effective ways to achieve a level of dissociation and disengagement from the constant mind-chatter of thoughts that demand our attention. Physically, these practices often integrate stillness or relaxation, but the difference with Self-Hypnosis is that it can use a trance state to bring about therapeutic changes, promoting a level of self-control with regular practice, that has a huge potential for meaningful benefit, both at times of distress and well beyond, to maintain health, both physically and mentally.

It’s all about control…and the disappointing reality is that despite the vast technical progress that has changed the world radically in the last half century, it seems that we are more stressed and more depressed than ever! Perhaps it is the toll of constant decision making, advertising, a media presence bombarding us with information, encouraging us to compare ourselves with unrealistic ideals….. choices that we have to make at an ever increasing pace.

We need to re-focus on giving ourselves some ‘head-space’, and appreciate that we have the most amazing, technically sophisticated organ within ourselves that we underutilise…our brains. Trance states can alter physiological ‘norms’, such as sensation, blood pressure, blood flow and improve our outlook, resilience and healing time. Integrating a relaxation process as part of a trance induction assists in neutralising the ‘stress response’ of daily living, and particularly that provoked by a cancer diagnosis. So we invite you to explore your potential to change yourself from within, and see just how deeply you can relax and start to imagine just how quickly you can improve. After all, every feat of human achievement has started off in someone’s imagination….

Welcome to our Healthcare Site. We hope our products will help you enhance your own self-care. You may observe that there may be some repetition in the subject matter addressed across the spectrum of the medical and surgical problems that we present. There are varied approaches that have therapeutic benefits. Thus we have designed a spectrum of options in our audio-programs which will allow you to use a variety of strategies to tackle your individual concerns as quickly and effectively as possible.

For example, you will see there are a number of options to manage pain, fear and anxiety, all of which may exacerbate each other. Remember, it is repetition and regularly setting time aside to revisit these self-hypnosis sessions that will be the key to your success! Hopefully you can use these whilst your treatment or investigations are in progress, or perhaps even last thing at night as an introduction to deep and refreshing sleep when your unconscious mind can continue the good work.

We are aware that different voices and accents may have different degrees of influence or preference, and hope that you enjoy our individual expression within our recordings. If you want to hear our voices before purchasing any audiofiles, please visit the free downloads on our homepage link Our Gifts To You.

To enhance the benefits of the recorded programmes, we have included and blended an appropriate background music, created by Christopher Lloyd Clarke and licensed by Enlightened Audio. We hope you find our products helpful!
