Hypnosis Programmes for Cancer Treatment

As if a cancer diagnosis is not terrifying enough, the process of receiving cancer treatment does not hold much prospect for light relief either.
Informed consent for chemotherapy and radiation inevitably lists a dismal array of possible side effects and possible complications, leaving all but the most nonchalant feeling a sense of foreboding. Thankfully, not everyone suffers all of the possibilities, and supportive medication usually moderates any protracted symptoms.

Living in this modern era means we have an effective panoply of pharmaceuticals which work their wonders, so that is rarer to see patients who cannot cope with treatment as an out-patient. Still, the most nerve wracking moments are dealing with uncertainty…from the outset during staging investigations when ‘curative options’ hang in the balance, to wondering how you will cope, anticipating the results of each scan, and pondering what the future may bring.

It is a rollercoaster of an emotional ride. Good days and bad. Trying to stay in control of events. Often it is the ‘slippery slope’ of extrapolating the worst possible scenarios which can upset us, and the ‘not knowing’ what lies ahead which can provoke panic and anxiety. Suddenly having to deal with a cascade of disruption in our lives, integrating investigations and treatments around other necessary activities, is a real challenge both organisationally and psychologically.

Patients often ask me “what more can I do to help myself”, and alongside my advice to ‘try and recruit help and support from family members, stay nourished, and comply with treatment recommendations and alert your team of setbacks’, I now introduce ‘Learn self-hypnosis’ to them.

There remains quite a lot of misconception about what it is….and many a witty reply includes references to stage demonstrations and chickens! Clinical hypnosis in a medical setting, however, is no poultry matter!!! It can be transformative in ways that no other medical management can achieve, in my experience. We hope you will be able to use these ‘audio tools’ at every juncture of your journey to recovery. Even if your cancer cannot be eradicated, self-hypnosis will help you live more comfortably and calmly, and who knows, you may surprise your medical team’s prognostications!

Welcome to our Healthcare Site. We hope our products will help you enhance your own self-care. You may observe that there may be some repetition in the subject matter addressed across the spectrum of the medical and surgical problems that we present. There are varied approaches that have therapeutic benefits. Thus we have designed a spectrum of options in our audio-programs which will allow you to use a variety of strategies to tackle your individual concerns as quickly and effectively as possible.

For example, you will see there are a number of options to manage pain, fear and anxiety, all of which may exacerbate each other. Remember, it is repetition and regularly setting time aside to revisit these self-hypnosis sessions that will be the key to your success! Hopefully you can use these whilst your treatment or investigations are in progress, or perhaps even last thing at night as an introduction to deep and refreshing sleep when your unconscious mind can continue the good work.

We are aware that different voices and accents may have different degrees of influence or preference, and hope that you enjoy our individual expression within our recordings. If you want to hear our voices before purchasing any audiofiles, please visit the free downloads on our homepage link Our Gifts To You.

To enhance the benefits of the recorded programmes, we have included and blended an appropriate background music, created by Christopher Lloyd Clarke and licensed by Enlightened Audio. We hope you find our products helpful!
